Bangladesh global context

In Bangladesh, 19% of the population has no access to a source of safe drinking water.

The situation will only worsen with the emergence of more and more slums due to the phenomenon of massive rural exodus, amplified by climate changes.

Bangladesh is expected to lose 17 to 20% of its land area by 2050, which means 25 to 30 million people will have to move inland and therefore probably increasing the slum areas.

Since 2012, Eau et Vie has brought sustainable access to piped water to the home of more 10,000 inhabitants of the slums of Dhaka and Chattogram.
